I’m currently working towards my ABRSM Grade 8 Practical Piano Exam, and before starting with Mr.Stefan I had tried several different teachers. For this particular goal, he has been by far the best teacher I’ve worked with.

What impressed me most is his deep understanding of the structure of the ABRSM exam and, more importantly, his ability to know exactly how to approach each individual part of it. His experience and attention to detail have made a huge difference in my preparation, and I genuinely feel that I’m learning how to prepare for the exam properly rather than simply learning the pieces.

I also really appreciate how much he cares about his students beyond the actual lesson time. In our very first lesson, we had some technical issues with the sound and he couldn’t properly hear me. Even though it was completely out of his control, he immediately offered me another lesson completely free. That really showed me how seriously he takes his students’ progress.

Another thing I want to publicly appreciate is the amount of time and effort he puts in outside of lessons. For example, I started sending him my ABRSM theory solutions for correction. He would take the time to check them, send them back to me, and even include the next paper for me to work on. We started with Grade 2, then Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5, and we managed to work through all of this before our rescheduled lesson. None of that was something he had to do, but he did it because he genuinely wanted to help me progress.

That level of dedication, experience, and support is something I really appreciate. I’m very glad I found him, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about preparing for ABRSM exams, especially at the higher grades.

2 lessons in and all going well. It's hard to learn solo without any feedback and Stefan is picking up on mistakes that need to be corrected early on. So online lessons, whilst not as effective as face to face, are certainly proving beneficial and keeps you on course with what to learn.
